About Us

Since its inception in 1967, Bedford-Stuyvesant Community Legal Services has provided quality free legal services to the low-income residents of Central Brooklyn.  The office has pursued this mission through the dedicated work of its staff of attorneys, paralegal case-handlers, law students, and volunteers, as well as in partnership with law firms and community organizations. Today, as part of the Legal Services NYC family, we continue to provide free legal services, community education and training, and information and resources for local residents.
